FoE (HK) Power Smart Energy Saving Contest 2012

「知慳惜電」節能比賽2012現已正式接受報名！比賽分為「住宅組」、「公司組」及「物業管理組」，各組別可即時上網登記。

Power Smart Energy Saving Contest 2012 is open for registration now! The contest contains three categories including Household, Company and Property Management. You may register online now.

只要在指定的慳電期內，即2012年6月1日至8月31日(連續共92天)，用電量比去年同期減少2%或以上，即有機會競逐獎項。本會更從贊助經費中撥出26萬作為「住宅組」獎金。慳得越多，得獎越多，金額有限，先慳先得。而「公司組」及「物業管理組」，除設有三甲獎項外，所有節電達標的參與單位均獲頒證書，以茲鼓勵。

During the designated period from 1st June 2012 to 31st August 2012 (92 consecutive days), the participants who reduce at least 2% of electricity consumption comparing with that in the corresponding period in 2011 are eligible to compete for a prize. We have set aside a total of HK$260,000 as cash prizes for Household category from the corporate sponsorship. The more you save, the more you earn. First-come-first-served. For the “Company” and “Property Management” categories, certificates will be awarded to the top three winners, while all other participating companies reaching the energy saving target by at least 2% will be awarded a Certification of Appreciation.

Mr CY Lam, Former Director of Hong Kong Observatory only pays around HK$100 for electricity bill per month, though his home is almost 1,000 square feet, they consume only 2 kWh of electricity per day per person. Let’s visit his house to see how “Power Smart” he is.
