The Social Brain and Human Sociality –
Everything that Makes us Human and the
Implications for Consciousness

David Craik MA, RSA Dip, FRAI

Charles Whitehead MSc, PhD, FRAI

The “social revolution” in brain science, and the social disciplines that made this possible, are challenging current attitudes to mind, brain, and consciousness – and exposing the collective deceptions that have hampered progress until now. This workshop will use a mix of talks, games, discussions, video, and experiential exercises designed to present new insights into the many ways we humans share experience, and to provide a comprehensive overview of recent research that is revolutionizing our understanding of the social brain, the development and evolution of human selfhood, and the likely implications for the ‘hard problem’.
