Networking Welcome and Introduction Introduction to Executive Master in Meaningful Innovation Prof. Diana Slade’s Address Mr. Nury Vittachi’s Address Open Discussion and Q&A
PolyU will be launching the Executive Master in Meaningful Innovation in September 2015. To mark the launch, the Institute of Advanced Executive Education and School of Design are hosting a Mini-Lecture & Networking Forum, where top professors will interact with practitioners to exchange insights on communicating ideas creatively and effectively and their significance for senior executives from all walks of business.
Well-communicated ideas are important for aligning with stakeholders, engineering them into reality for successful implementation of business innovation. The process of creating and conveying innovative ideas is, however, challenging across multi-cultural professionals and business organisations. The new Executive Master will integrate techniques to empower senior executives to effectively communicate in the world of business.
Cultural and technological forces are reshaping the world. Prof. Diana Slade will share her insights on how to effectively communicate with people from different cultures to increase individuals as well as organisations’ competitive edge in the global society, thus broadening their chances for business success as senior executives.
Telling a story that illustrates a creative concept or an essential message is far more effective than using charts and facts alone. Mr. Nury Vittachi will unveil the mystery of storytelling and how successful leaders can make use of stories to forge connections between people and inspire them to take action to achieve outcomes.
