POMCH is a local design brand that focusing on leather items such as leather bags, wallets, cardholders and accessories. We aim to redefine existing objects by extracting the essentials of industrial elements, and interpreting the elements in a new angle with surprise.
POMCH is a school project initially with two industrial design students which started from 2011. The name “POMCH” is simulating the sounds from the industrial machines, which is iconic and links all the elements into a brand concept. Apart from product design, POMCH also hold handmade workshops and contribute to local and overseas social art and design industry by participating design festivals and events.
With the theme of "Design eMotion", Education Corner is a concurrent event of Business of Design Week 2013. A series of creative workshops aimed at increasing student interest and participation in design and creativity.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design and Hong Kong Design Institute have teamed up to give Form 3 and above students from Hong Kong schools an experience of what it is like to become the creator of new products, environments and visual communications. During the workshops, students will be given the opportunity to explore their design and creative talents. Completed works will be exhibited at the exhibition booth.
To enhance the students’ creative experience, there is a guided tour of design, brand and innovation exhibits at Inno Design Tech Expo’s Inspiration Hall.
The theme of PolyU Design's workshop is "Shapes in Motion, A Dynamic Pop-forming Craft"..
