Design for Assistive Technology and Education (DATE) Collaborative Space opening

DATE (Design for Assistive Technology and Education) will focus on the research, design, development, showcasing and training of the latest communication and entertainment technologies for serious needs. We look at how these technologies can be built to benefit education, awareness raising and rehabilitation, among others. We believe an access to technology and its innovative development and use has the potential to enable and empower individuals with special needs and different preferences. Merged with playful and game elements, such experiences are better remembered and easily adopted. Working with NGOs, schools and experts of various fields, we hope more informed design, research and development takes place.
