Design of Architectures for Health is today an opportunity to interpret multiple drivers that are transforming contemporary social, economic and environmental paradigms. New models for a Hospital 4.0 are needed to face the complexity of such infrastructures and deliver innovative strategies for the hospital design of the future. A collection of keywords and case studies will be investigated, unfolding the challenges of healing architectures in the past, present and future.
Stefano Capolongo, Architect, PhD, and Full Professor in Hospital Design and Urban Health at Politecnico di Milano, Italy
Prof. Stefano Capolongo currently holds the position of Director of the Department of Architecture, Built environment and Construction engineering (ABC) at Politecnico di Milano. He is also the Director of the joint Master Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi di Milano and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome in Planning, Programming and Design of Healthcare facilities. He is one of the founding members of ALSP (Lombard Academy of Public Health) and Foundation Action for Health Institute.
