Ableton University Tour

From September 2018 through to early 2019, Ableton will be visiting campuses across the world for the Ableton University Tour – a series of free presentations, workshops and performances designed to inform and inspire music makers of all levels.

24th November, 2018 – The Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Jockey Club Innovation Tower

Venue 1: Innovation Think Tank, Vl 310, 13/F (open to public)

The highlight for our tour stop at Poly U will be an in depth artist talk with the singer & producer Yeung Tung 楊彤. The event will kick off with a live performance by multi-instrumentalist, producer and Ableton Certified Trainer mredrollo. Fellow Certified Trainer Jeff Caylor, also Hong Kong based, will give a short presentation on Max for Live, Ableton Live and Push. This event will be open to public.

Venue 2: V134

We invite participants to take part in a studio session with the producer and educator mredrollo and Ableton’s brand specialist Christian Schwanz, who is also known as the producer CEE. This masterclass is only for Poly U students and limited to 30 seats. RSVP with Poly U lecturers.

Participants are invited to get their hands on Push and Live at our product corner, where Certified Trainers mredrollo and Jeff Caylor will assist.

There will also be an installation by Ambisonics called "MusicHandout" previously exhibited at Sonar Hong Kong:

Experience the freedom of making music with your bare hands. Melody, bass, beat evolve and morph in space following the motion of up to 8 hands in this installation powered by Leap Motion and Max4Live and presented in Ambisonics.
