Mixed Reality, Human-computer Interface, Embedded Systems and Software Engineering, Real-time Computer Vision, Neural Networks and AI

Dr. Clifford Choy received his BEng (Hons) and PhD from the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in 1992 and 1998 respectively. From mid 1997 till end of 1999, he worked in a local software company in developing mission critical business applications and Internet applications. In January 2000, he joined the Multimedia Innovation Centre, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with focus in developing intelligent toys, embedded systems, and Internet and mobile technologies. He is currently leading the Embedded Systems section in the Centre. His research interest includes neural networks and artificial intelligence, human-computer interface, embedded systems and software development methodology, software design patterns, simulation, augmented and mixed reality, and creativity support system.
