- a Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Design; or
- a Teacher’s Certificate/Certificate in Education (with art or design elective studies); or
- a Diploma in Design; or
- an equivalent qualification (e.g. a relevant Associate Degree)

- not less than 2 years of full-time working or teaching experience in relevant field; or
- 5 years of full-time working experience is required for Higher Certificate or Diploma holders.
