Student work "Toilet Paper" won several honors in international events
Mr Vai Yik-pun, Mr Koo Kar-lok, Mr Lui Tsz-kit, Miss Poon Wing-yu Cora, 2005 graduates and current students produced a short film "Toilet Paper" and won several honors in international events:
- Selected Award, The 29th JVC Tokyo Video Festival, Japan
- Finalist, The 12th Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards
- Third Prize of DigiCon6+2 Competition (HK Section) organized by Tokyo Broadcasting System Inc.
- Best Digital Effects Prize at the 2006 Hong Kong ICT Awards (Student Category)
- Official Selection, Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival 2006
- Official Selection, Jakarta Slingshortfest 2006 (Indonesia)
- Selected by Trade Development Council and shown in Festival de Cannes 2006
- Screened in Hong Kong International Film Festival 2006

MSc Students won IT Courseware Competition First Prize
Ms Chan Hang-yi and Mr Wong Shu-kei, 2005 graduates, won the First Place (Champion) and the Originality Award in the IT Courseware Competition; they defeated other finalist teams from other universities and education institutes. Their project titled "Liberate", is an edutainment project on liberal studies.

Students Shine in an international
Independent Games Festival
Mr Fong Chi-hang, Mr Li Chung-wai and Mr Lim Wai-chung, 2004 graduates, developed their final project "Soccer Ref". It was selected as one of the 2005 Student Showcase Winners for the Independent Games Festival (http://www.igf.com/2005entrants.shtml).Their project has been exhibited in the "Best of the independent Games Festival" held at Australia Centre for the Moving Image's (ACMI) Games Lab from 12 October 2005 until 28 February 2006. and start their own game business
Mr Tang Yat-fai, Mr Yuen Gin-pang and Mr Vincent Lam, 2004 graduates, won the Xbox Games Incubation Program http://www.cyberport.hk/campaign/xbox/index.html, organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) of the HKSAR and Cyberport, in collaboration with MicrosoftR - the developer of Xbox, Together they formed their own company - Treasure Box to develop their winning digital game titled "Auroral Snare" to be marketed in the coming year. |

MSc Students won Nokia's JAVA Mobile Game Competition Gold Prize & Bronze Prize
Mr Tang Yat-fai, Mr Kwong Tsz-kit and Miss Lui Hoi-kar, 2004 graduates, won the gold prize of the JAVA Mobile Game Competition. The gold prize winner defeated the other 140 participants by applying the latest Bluetooth technology in their winning game "Tug-of-War".
Another team, Mr Wong Cheung, Mr Tse Jonathan Tat-wing and Mr Yeung Siu-fai Joseph, 2004 graduates, won the bronze prize of the same competition, JAVA Mobile Game Competition. |

Ms Step Cheung and Ms Katherine Luk, 2003 graduates, won the Distinguished Award in the Animation category in the 9th IFVA Short Film & Video Festival. The Festival was organized by The Hong Kong Arts Centre. Their creative winning film was titled "Santa's Rhapsody". |
