Aims and Objectives:
Students gain an integrated knowledge of industrial design, manufacturing engineering and product development technology.
They learn the principles, concepts and applications of innovative product design and development, from identifying market opportunities to launching innovative products in the marketplace. Problem-based projects train students' design thinking and analytical and problem-solving capabilities in new product innovation.

Characteristics:
This is the first program of its kind in Hong Kong. It integrates industrial design, manufacturing engineering and new product innovation technologies. Business and marketing knowledge for new product innovation is another key component.
In the Product Innovation Project (PIP), which combines theory and practice, students develop creative and innovative abilities in simulated and live projects.
