Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong touts 50-year history through student competition

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, is pushing its property to future generations by partnering with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for a design competition to mark its 50th anniversary.
The “Hotel of the Future” competition is inviting 39 environment and interior design year-two students from the university to design designated areas of the hotel. This effort could push the hotel ahead of competitors since it is supporting young talent as well as touting its innovative outlook on hotel design.

有創意，都要配合天時、地利、人和，才能得以發揮。早前，6名就讀香港理工大學設計學院不同課程的學生，與國際知名品牌合作推出展覽，但必須在校內過五關斬六將通過選拔，然後場地設計、展品設計、模型製作、實物裝潢「一腳踢」！這趟化零為整的體驗，讓同學們提早與現實交手，籌備過程縱然一頭煙，但年輕人反而愈戰愈勇。
