100 students from S.4-5 joined the Summer Programme of PolyU Design earlier this month. The programme helped the participants learn about different design disciplines through Workshops, Guided Tours and the Dialogue with the designers featured on our publication ‘Who Cares’.
Summer Programme 2017 organised by SSRS and 100 participants had attended the PolyU Design Summer Programme.
Advertising Design - Participants were asked to draw a poster to represent themselves (Left) and Mr. Francis Hung, one of the tutor from Advertising is commenting the posters from participant. (Right)
Communication Design - Participants required to use paper strips in order to achieve the goal.
Environment and Interior Design - Participants required to make full-size drawings of movements of their bodies in plan and elevation. (Left) Then they are required to connect 2-3 participants’ bodies and shelter using paper. (Right)
Product Design - Participants required to sort the items in their bags into different categories (Left) and then came up with 50 ways of using the products. (Right)

After a brief introduction, our speakers started the dialogue with the participants.
Students were interested with the topics and asked questions. Speakers found the questions interesting as well!
After the intensive programme, participants were filling out the feedback forms.
