SD and Shangri-La Upcycling Design Competition - Winners announced

PolyU Design was in collaboration with Shangri-La International Hotel Management Limited that our year 3 and year 4 Product Design students formed teams to create functional and beautiful design products with obsolete items from the hotels.

Themed ‘Shangri-La Re-Creates: The Search for the Best Upcycled Design’, the project selected six teams which made good use of various post-consumed materials (such as corks and glass bottles, etc.) to the final round.

All these designs achieved high standards of environmental-friendliness, function, safety, creativity and production friendliness. The designs may be used by the Group’s hotels in the future.

Congratulations to the winners of Shangri-la Upcycling Award and their tutors Mr Benny Leong and Mr Brian Lee!
