Exhibition - "The Next 50: Layers of Design Creativity from Hong Kong"

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and the grand opening of the new facility Jockey Club Innovation Tower. To commemorate the occasion, “The Next 50: Layers of Design Creativity from Hong Kong” exhibition will be held on 19 March to 30 April.

Design is a discipline that involves the study of human behavior to create a system or an object to improve our lives and wellbeing.  THE NEXT 50 enlists PolyU Design’s alumni community, experts, and young talents to start and sustain a design-led innovation blueprint for the next 50 years of design development in Hong Kong.  THE NEXT 50 aims to be a collaborative effort revisited and imagined by seasoned creators and future cross-disciplinary innovators.  It is an opportunity presented by a half-century of heritage and the new centre of gravity for collaboration and innovation in the society.

The exhibition will bring visitors through a journey of PolyU Design’s fifty years of Heritage, how our graduates have developed the culture of Entrepreneurship in Hong Kong, and how design can lead Innovation in the society in the future.
