Special Talk by Johan Hoorn

Dr. Gino Yu has arranged a special speaker for you all this Monday, 25th of February - Dr. Johan Hoorn. Dr. Hoorn has flown in from Amsterdam to give a couple of talks at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Please feel free to attend or invite anyone else you feel may be interested in attending. The talk will take place at 5pm in room PQ002. We hope you can attend.

Dr. Johan F. Hoorn (D. Litt., D. Sc.)

Dr. Hoorn works within the Creative Industry Scientific Programme (CRISP), and is the Principal Investigator and Project leader for a M€4.1 (including industry co-financing) research project entitled SELEMCA (Services of Electro-Mechanical Care Agencies) of which M€1.1 goes to Vrie University (including 4 PhDs, a Postdoc, and a technology budget that brought his Institute two state-of-the-art robots - Hanson’s Robokind Alice and DARwIn-OP -, a 3D printer, and an Ambisonics sound system).
Dr. Hoorns past experience also includes a Fellowship at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Art and Sciences developing a unified theory of creativity (meaning, mechanisms and models); Director of Research and Education at THINK, the Amsterdam School of Creative Leadership; and Senior Associate Professor/Managing Director of Creative Industries at Vrie University Amsterdam.
