‘SEEK SEE SIT! ‘ Bench Design Exhibition

An interesting set of museum benches is designed by the students from PolyU School of Design for the Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum at the Mid-levels, Central. They are not only functional, but also interesting and carrying historical meaning to provide an alternative visitor's experience and enable learning of the historical contexts of the public museum. Some of the key wooden structures are upcycled from 50-year-old chairs donated by the historical Shun Hing Restaurant which was pitifully shut down in late 2016 with many locals’ sweet memories.

This on-campus showcase is a re-run of the exhibition held previously in the museum.
