Meet Stefan Diez and Wilkhahn

Stefan Diez first studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and then learnt the Cabinet maker’s trade. This was followed by a degree course in industrial design under Richard Sapper and Klaus Lehmann at the Akademie der Künste (Academy of Fine Arts) in Stuttgart. Whilst studying, he worked for Richard Sapper and then for Konstantin Grcic for two years before opening his own office in Munich in 2003 after graduating. Since 2007 he is Professor for Industrial Design at the HFG Karlsruhe.

Stefan Diez achieved international acclaim and won numerous highcalibre design awards. His products are made e.g. by Authentics, Biegel, e15, Merten, Moroso, Schönbuch, Thonet and others
