The long-awaited Grand Opening Ceremony of the Jockey Club Innovation Tower will be held at 5 PM on 18 March 2014 in the campus of PolyU.
The Jockey Club Innovation Tower is home to School of Design and is the new driving force in the development of Hong Kong as a design hub in Asia. It is located at the northeastern tip of the university campus. Construction work began in 2009 and the whole project was completed in August, 2013. It has 15,000 square metres of net floor area and can accommodate about 1,800 staff and students. It houses a lecture hall, 10 classrooms, design studios and workshops, as well as exhibition spaces and a communal viewing lounge.
The Ceremony will kick off the celebration of the Tower’s grand opening and the PolyU Design 50th Anniversary Exhibition. It will mark the milestone development for PolyU and Hong Kong, and open a series of events which you must not miss!
