Final Year Project (Tutor Selections)
This showcase features Industrial and Product Design Final Year Project student outcomes.
In this subject students are expected to integrate skills and competences accrued throughout their study to identify new or newly emerging problems, or reflect issues that are currently of concern in the design world, develop appropriate solutions addressing these concerns, and argue how these will improve current conditions of existence.
The subject entails the development and execution of an innovative design relevant to contemporary issues, supported by pertinent methodology and critical analysis communicated in students’ design approaches. This includes the ability to research, organize concepts, develop designs, engage users and other stakeholders in the project, prototype models, assess commercial feasibility, and communicate product-systems designed for a desirable future.
