Retired Elites ! Haven’t thought to re-contribute again ?

Indeed, majority of retirees has gone through the golden age of Hong Kong, they are still active and intellectual; they would be a valuable resource to energize the prosperity of Hong Kong. If we could make a good use of this potential resource to re-contribute again in related to corporate social responsibility programme; it helps not only to arouse social awareness towards the hidden issue, but also set an exemplar for good utilized of valuable experience incorporate with institutional culture; as a result retired elites helps to improve our society.

Upholding the aforementioned ideas, last year, the Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation together with Institute of Active Ageing successfully launched Encore Fellowship Programme, which aimed to maximize the valuable resource about dedicated retired elites.

In 2014, we are going to expand the Encore Fellowship Programme to business sector. We will invite companies which have successfully implemented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to share their experiences on a Forum. Also, they will evaluate the pros and cons of our ambitious plan in their professional perspectives .Their inputs will lay the groundwork for the future implementations and to fine-tune our Encore Fellowship Program. We will also discuss topics like possible contribution of this area. We look forward to seeing you in our Forum.
