About Thomas Widdershoven
Designer/ Director at Thonik and Creative Director at the Design Academy Eindhoven
Thonik specialises in visual communication for clients in public and cultural sectors. In China Thonik works on the visual identity and scenography of the Urban and Architecture Bienale in Shenzhen 2015, opening in December.
The Design Academy Eindhoven is a leading design school. In almost 70 years of education the school has become an important player in the design world. Typical are the 8 Bachelor departments that do not focus on specific media or skills, but on domains of human activity and interaction. This year the new food design department took the stage in Milan, under the provocative title Eat Shit. On Master level a new department started on design writing and curating, to underline the importance of reflection in present day design.
About Imme van der Haak
Imme van der Haak is born and raised in Arnhem, the Netherlands. Imme went on to graduate in 2010 from Artez, the academy of arts in the same city. Following this, she moved to London to begin studying a master in Product Design at London’s reputable Royal College of Art where she graduated in 2012.
Drawing from her personal experience and observations Imme’s work is playful, yet subtle in its approach. She constantly strives to question and challenge our perception of what is ‘normal’, focusing on the everyday, which we might take for granted.
