Born in Hong Kong, Anthony Lo graduated in 1985 from the former Hong Kong Polytechnic with a degree in Industrial Design. He furthered his studies with a Master’s Degree in Automotive Design at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. Since then, Anthony worked for different well-known car manufacturers in different countries including Lotus Cars in England, Audi in Germany, Mercedes-Benz in Japan and Saab in Sweden. He was appointed Vice President Exterior Design at Renault in April 2010.

Anthony has received numerous accolades including 2006 United States' AutoWeek Best in Show, 2006 Louis Vuitton Classic Concept finalist, 2006 United Kingdom's Auto Car Concept Car of the Year, 2007 United Kingdom's Car Design New Concept Car of the Year, 2006 Geneva Auto Show's Best of Show, 2007 Hong Kong Elle Style's Asian Designer of the Year, 2008 United States' AutoWeek Best Concept, 2012 World's Outstanding Chinese Designer Award, and Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award 2013 in Hong Kong.

Lecture Outline

In this lecture, Anthony will share his career journey, from a car fanatic to a professional car designer working for several global companies, and talk about his work and achievements. Participants will get to know what car designers do and their stories, and learn from Anthony how he develops passion for his job that can lead to success.
