The 6th International Conference on Design & Emotion will take place at the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. School of Design is located at Core A at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Campus in Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong. .

School of Design
In 2007, the School of Design (SD) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is celebrating its forty-three years of providing excellent design education. In year 2007 it has been rated as one of the top 60 design schools internationally, and one of the top 3 in China by BusinessWeek magazine.

Since its establishment in 1964, SD has been dedicated to bringing the world better products through education and practice. It has taken a world lead in establishing a new integrated and multi-disciplinary design curriculum, encompassing disciplines such as advertising design, environment and interior design, industrial and product design, interactive design and visual communication design. SD has graduated over 10,000 designers and its faculty is one of the most internationally recognised in the world. All SD academic staff have industry experience, conduct research in a specialised area and bring these skills into the classroom. Encouraging and nurturing creativity and innovation remains SD’s central task supported by the most technologically advanced design tools.

PolyU
PolyU has an excellent setting in the East-meets-West culture in Hong Kong and its close proximity to the mainland China and the rest of Asia. In addition, the academic culture at PolyU warmly welcomes interaction with SD, prompting collaborative programmes and projects with engineering, business, sociology, medical, textiles, manufacturing, multi-media and hotel and tourism. This is an exciting period of growth for the programme.
